I believe some of that is EBRSO jurisdiction.
Well does whoever is responsible for enforcing laws in the areas where beggars beg, just let them beg?

May as well go whole hog and be a quadruple amputee. 8x the pull.

I believe the O’Neal Exit might be inside the city while the Siegen would be under EBRPSO.
I drove by O’Neal and I-12 the other day.
It is sad this area turned into a homeless area.
They had one living next to the electrical box behind the Shell station infront of the HomeDepot parking lot on Highland Road.
Then WBRZ had a story a few weeks ago about an foreclosed building off Sherwood Forest that has homeless people inside.
Sad part is a lot of these people have mental health issues. We pay taxes to provide help for these people. Guess what all we see is more and more people panhandling or sleeping on the streets in the suburbs.

That and there are non profits set up to help. St Vincent de Paul does a lot, that's what frustrating about seeing people give them money. There are resources available. Maybe there isn't enough resources to provide for all of them, I don't know...
I know its been worse over the past 8-10 years, but I haven't seen them that far out on Siegen (I don't go that way much so it was just a surprise to see it).

I wrote and called every one of my elected officials all the way up to Garret Graves this past week. The rise in vagrancy and violent crime in EBR being the main focus. I recommend everyone do the same. If enough people call and write with well thought out, factual concerns they do listen and start responding.
With that, there is another homeless camp of individuals living inside the cinder block dumpster container behind the closed McDonald’s on Coursey, right in front of Home Depot. I saw this today while also watching EBR deputies taking a handcuffed man out of the back of their car, uncuffing him, and dropping him off in front of Home Depot.

I was in BR for a day last year and saw beggars galore on Siegen as I stayed at the Holiday Inn on that road.
I got gas at the Circle K on Siegen at 5 in the morning and was approached by a beggar while pumping my gas.

Actually saw one of them today shooting up under the Sherwood overpass while waiting in traffic. Wasn't even trying to hide it. It's getting bad at college also

I'm almost certain that all of the businesses around are hiring.

BRPD generally does nothing in all situations, except for those involving drunk white college students, inspection stickers, and posting up at the nearest Benny’s.
Agreed. My ex-wife (no pics) and I got robbed at gun point one night walking back to our vehicle. I immediately called the cops after. The shite head that showed up asked why I was out so late (10pm) and said I was asking for trouble. Proceeded to tell me I’d never get my stuff back and then wrote me a window tint ticket
I gave a full description of perp, license plate number, and vehicle description..he seemed really inconvenienced

There are now permanent make shift shelters under the Sherwood I12 overpass and a campsite on the south side of the 12 under the trees. They will clean it up the week of an election, that is it.

Agreed. Give them food - not money.

These people legit should be arrested for this. Or at least ticketed. Or beaten with a rubber hose. I mean for the love of god, at what point do these absolute shite brained do-gooders say “ya know, there sure are a lot more bums around than there used to be so maybe I should stop attracting more”?

The leaves are starting to fall and I’m starting to see a small village in the woods to the right of the seigen off ramp (where everybody gets in wrecks). There’s like a treehouse and some tents. Should be interesting in the next month or two as the cover begins to thin

I started noticing this for the first time last year. Highland exit had some as well.
Saw about 10-12 homeless sitting next to the bridge by the mall looking pissed off after the last major rain we had. That creek was up to the bridge and completely washed away their little compound
