I do not know now, but the guy that owned them in the 80's or 90's was a former UK student.
If you have kids you know where every Moby Dick is in LoserVille
Bombas was for the kids (the owners family owned the old Enza's in CC in LEX)
Impelzaris was pizza for adults
Trying to remember the purple box pizza place by the cemetery

I have a Publix 1 minute from my house, with employees who are actually nice and offer to carry the bags to your car. No, I don't shop at Wal-Mart.

Being a district manager for Fritolay, I only go into Walmart because I have to for work. I may but 1 or 2 things while I’m there. But for my general grocery shopping, I’ll shop at the local grocery chain. Macs Fresh Market for you Cenla folks. I’ll stop at DG for something that’s quick in and out

We shop at Wal-Mart and use the app so we don't have to stand in line to pay...just bag as we go and pay on our way out. We live in a small town and your options are Wal-Mart or two other grocery stores which are both over priced and dirty on the inside.

That’s quite an exaggeration, but I get your point.
The thing is, it’s not an exaggeration at all.

. Also the GV version of spaghetti and lasagna are superior to Stoffers and other brands.
Shhhhhh. Lets keep that to ourselves.

Wish we had one.

I can understand the dislike for what Walmart did to local grocery stores but their prices are better than anyone. I still buy quite a bit from the local store near our house and the produce stand, but with grocery prices like they are we get a lot from Walmart too.

So many Americans think they're some damn royalty. They'll shop for cheap shite online they claim they are too good for Walmart.
Value is value. When I go south I stop at Walmart for essentials like most people do, just not going to lie about it.

The vast majority of other grocery chains are just some different large corporation

That sell the same stuff.
I people want to pay more for the same product, their ego has let them down.

Walmart pickup keeps me more clean feeling while still having the money saving advantages.
Brookshires for all meats and non-frozen veggies.

That's what we do. Walmart pickup for 80% of things. We usually do Costco or the little AG store near us for meat and hit the produce stand occasionally. My wife likes to pick out that stuff in person.

Not everyone makes 250k a year and has 1 kid. Big families have to save money wherever they can.

I have no problem saying I shop at Wal-Mart and don’t care what others think. Matter of fact, I am going after church to pick up a few items!
