Most PHDs are educated far beyond their level of intelligence.

Knew a guy with a PHD named Stephen. Complete arse hat about it. A lady was taking his info down at a conference and she asked "is it spelled with a v or a ph" and he responded "it's actually PHD". I wanted slam his stupid face into the table.
She should have given him a name tag reading "Stephden"

Most self-taught master electricians are far beyond either of us in their trade. Correct?

So true.

Not trying to be pedantic. Just know education takes on many forms. And a PhD doesn't dictate Dim or MAGA. I know many more conservative PhDs but it's due to geography moreso than anything. We all do.

"Much of this advantage has come among adults with post-graduate experience; currently, 56% lean Democratic while just 36% lean Republican. Among those who have received a college degree but have no post-graduate experience, the gap is much narrower: 48% identify as Democrats or lean Democratic, while 43% affiliate with the GOP or lean Republican."
It goes further to explain that of the, "independents" ("centrists"), the majority vote democrat. PEW research
From the National Communication Association of political affiliations of tenured college professors (i.e., PHds)
And that's just in academia. The numbers bear out the same for PHd holders not in academia. According to another PEW poll, at most, 10% identify as Republican, while, at a minimum, 50% identify as Democrat, while the remaining "independents" largely lean Democrat in their voting tendencies.
The fact that you question the validity of the factually sound statement that more PHd holders in career academics (which mirror the political affiliations of PHd holders in private industry) are democrat as opposed to Republican is laughable - and that's fine that they are, it's not surprising in the least, and I don't know why it would be for you. To deny that is denying statistical reality, let alone the results of their students regarding their political worldviews after they graduate from the universities that employ those career academics. Anecdotally, nearly all of my professors were left-of-center on the business side, and the majority were on the engineering side as well. It is what it is.
asked for facts. gave em facts. then comes the big fat 0:

none of the shite talkers want any part of the facts, but they'll spend the next 3 pages giggling and dodging the big arse L lobbed in their face

Wait. So you, too, feel PhDs are a Lib thing? Just to test this, which county or parrish do you live in? I'll quickly tell you a funny fact and if you voted for them.

I always find these sorts of posts interesting as you can tell 1)who went to college and 2)what they studied. Across both undergrad and graduate school I can count the number of political comments from my professors on 1 hand
When did I say they make these comments in class or to students in class? I had enough TA's in upperclassman courses who were more than happy to discuss how much they hated W in 2000 to me personally. Where do you think these academia dipshits ended up? Now this was in LSU's Arts and Sciences - riddled with future MA and PhD's with soulcrushing debt.

If you don't want liberal BS, don't study things that have liberal BS professors teaching it. If you study things like finance, engineering, chemistry, math, accounting ... You won't have to worry about this.
How many people in finance, engineering, chemistry, math, accounting end up with PhD's? I'm pretty sure OP was referring to mainly A&S grads with doctorates.

PhDs are for people who want to get paid higher salaries and stubborn enough to complete the degree work.
LOL. Literally the first thing my European history prof told the class was “ If you your goal is knowledge, then get a PhD. If your goal is money or prestige, pick another field”.
There’s a reason for the stereotype of the fashionably poor libarts/sociology prof driving a beat up 25 year old Volvo: it has a kernel of truth to it.

Judging by the downvotes, I guess there’s a lot more English, sociology and psychology phd’s running around on this board than I thought.

Nope. I went into IT. I didn’t want to drive a beat up 25 year old Volvo.

Medicine, yes. Business? Biz schools are loaded with people that don’t make it in the business world. Nobody making seven+ figures at a hedge fund is going “Know what I really want to do? Teach college kids for $150K a year”.

My sister just completed hers and she is going to be a plastic surgeon and is conservative politically I don't believe you. I'm guessing she's a frumpy pale thigh tattoo type of lesbian who is grooming your adopted nephew and niece. And they're all vegans and adhor the cruel treatment of catfish.
I’m in love.
