I do think it's mildly inappropriate to talk sex with your heterosexual male PLATONIC buddies if you're a girl. That's gf or fiance material. It's not your job to put that out there.

I just think you're using those guys. It ain't a friendship.

I have a group of friends and we all went from elementary to high school together, 5 guys and 4 girls. Our parents all knew one another so we all became good friends from a young age. For the most part, we’re all still close friends. I keep in touch with 3 of the girls and they are dear friends, for whom I would do anything. There’s nothing sexual there, we’ve simply known each other for practically our entire lives.

I do realize that having a group of friends like that is not the norm, and I do think that in a lot of cases friendship between a man and women often start off based on one’s attraction to the other.

I'd explain but you'll just say you feel attacked and that I'm being mean.

I will not permit you to tarnish my impeccable e-rep as the nicest and sweetest of the LLOTOT.

I have exactly one "platonic" female friend that I still keep in touch with who I've known since HS but we have definitely had some drunken sex at various times over the years and she is definitely on the "fat chick" spectrum (circa 2 bills and not 300+ like Paige's sis).

even though you will deny it, The truth is that you are using this guy for the attention when you know he wants to frick you but you keep him hanging by a string with your little chats of sex and pushing him into the friendzone. He gives you the pleasure of the attention you crave but he never gets past that arms length that he craves.

Can't hurt to get feedback/advice from a straight guy who has no interest in steering you wrong.

You are correct but my spider sense is tingling on this one. There's more to this than what I am reading.

What I do enjoy is his company it has nothing to do with sexual attention or keeping something from him. Yes, sometimes he brings up sex when we are hanging out but it’s not a discussion about sex between us. I’ve never teased the possibility with him...he knows where the relationship stands and accepts it.

He's playing the long game. The vast majority of guys would rather hang out with their buddies otherwise. Maybe that makes us assholes but it's the truth.
