I walked into Toronado in san fran, which is one of the best craft beer bars in the country. I was rocking my cowboy boots and lsu hat, and the bar tender with a full beard and flannel said "we don't have bud light here".

So you got a Miller?

Yes this sounds like an allergy. Maybe just start drinking whiskey.

I wanted to leave, but knew that would make him a winner

So I ordered a beer and contemplated punching him in his fat bearded face all night. I mean he was so typical. He was about 20 pounds overweight but wore a flannel 2 sizes two small like it made him look skinny

No.

That sounds terrible.

Have you been able to isolate which hops cause it?

Because this fricking sucks as I enjoy IPAs tremendously, but I can't drink them anymore.

seems like all of them now?

I first started noticing it after drinking G&G, so I pretty much gave it up.

I drank a lot of Rhinestone Life this summer, but the past few times I've had one (like just 1), I've almost immediately developed a headache.

Same goes with Commotion, Ghost, etc.

Yeh you got the allergy

Completely give them up and then go back to them. Allergies can come and go later in life

I’ve thought the whole time it was alcohol withdrawal because I actually feel the alcohol in an IPA vs the BMC type beers. Never knew it was a hop allergy. But yeah, I noticed the problem disappeared when I quit drinking them every day.

I'll be sure to bring a lot of IPAs to jamboree.

It’s not a big deal but there has been a few occasions where the fellas are getting beer and I’ve had to say no bud light because I’ll get a headache and look like a huge pussy

Holy shite this whole time I thought something was wrong with me. I had cut back on drinking a good bit and was wondering if that had something to do with it. A few months ago I had 3 and in 45 minutes had a headache so bad I puked everywhere. Ever since then just one seems to bring on a pretty bad headache pretty quickly.
