yes it works, but you're more likely to pull out too much ear wax than just the right amount. Removing too much is worse than the problem you have. Your ear drum needs wax.

Where do you live? if alabama, go get some 12 hr generic sudafed. Also mix some apple cider vinegar with orange juice and drink a few times. Also use swimmer's ear stuff (which is really just alcohol).

NO! Putting hot water in your ears is the worst thing you can do. The inner ear is very sensitive and you could burn your skin and damage your eardrum.

Pour laxative in ear.

I'm not joking.

Pour latex paint in your ears and snort horseradish.

Last time I did this my nose wouldn't stop running.

And I shite my pants, though I think that was purely coincidence.

Oddly enough I'm told, only in combination with anal bleaching and auto-fellatio.

I don't know first-handedly but I accidentally have blundered onto the Aggie Board a couple of times.

I haven't irrigated my ears in about two months. I'm thinking I will today just so i can make a video and post it here.

it's disgusting as shite what comes out of my ears. i work in a high dust environment and ,y ears already produce a lot of wax.

the feeling is just as glorious as the production is disgusting.

To op's original question: no, ear candles don't work.

When I went to the doctor as a kid and they irrigated my ears with the waterpik thing, the fricking brown, red nastiness that came out in dime sized chunks was fascinating.

Does this involve fire? If so I really will go order some for myself. I have a fascination with lighting stuff.

Debrox in the ear for 3 to 5 days. Then use a bulb syringe and warm water to blow out all the wax that's clogging your ears.

Or go to the doctor and they will irrigate your ears with a waterpik. It's fricking amazing.

This. Debrox is amazing.

Again No on the peroxide. That will burn your inner ear worse than hot water.

I had this problem once and the debrox drops as directed, along with warm water from bulb eventually got it all out. It took a few days, i was about to give up. Then it all finally came out one morning and it was glorious.

Let’s explore this some more. Give it a try and report back.

Peroxide is fine. It can help loosen the wax. It doesn't dissolve it like some people think unless it's a very small amount. If you have a large amount you still need to have someone either flush it out or remove it manually.

With that said, some people are over agressive about their wax removal and can cause more irritation and harm than good.

Ear candling is total woo woo. Numerous studies have shown the debris you see in the candle after is from the candle itself. Not globs of earwax magically extracted. Like this:
