My ear has been stuffed up for like 3 days, feels like I'm underwater and it's driving me nuts. Combo of flying and head congestion so I don't think ear candles would help but I'm willing to try anything at this point.

According to the American Academy of Audiology, there is no scientific evidence that ear candling pulls out debris from the ear canal. Scientific measurements of the ear canals before and after candling show no reduction in earwax. Researchers even found an increase in wax because of the wax deposited by the candles.

Since I got the electricity hooked up at the camp I can read at night a whole lot easier than sticking candles in my ears.

Get yourself a frosty or a malt and try and drink it thru the straw as fast as you can. Suction will drain your sinuses and also your ears.

Debrox in the ear for 3 to 5 days. Then use a bulb syringe and warm water to blow out all the wax that's clogging your ears.

Or go to the doctor and they will irrigate your ears with a waterpik. It's fricking amazing.

Best thing to do is get an ear syringe and blast hot water in it, they usually come when ear drops too that will break all that shite up

You have an ear infection. You may need antibiotics if it's bacterial. Anti inflamatories may give some relief until the infection clears.

ETA: yeah you may also get some relief by using an ear rinse kit

I had really bad ear wax years ago and went to urgent care for them to look at it. They used a soft plastic needle and flushed out my ears and then proceeded to charge me $300 for 15 minutes of work.

I then went to Walgreens and bought a weird looking suction ball that can flush out your ears for $6. I use that once every 6 months to flush any buildup out of my ears.

Doctors and antibiotic ear drops work better.

If you believe you simply have water in the ear with no infected ear canal, try this stuff:

If you think it’s built up earwax, try this stuff:

I’ve had ear infection and clogging problems most of my life, so I know my ear care products pretty well.

So if it is sinus congestion, then what?

I'm not OP, but my ear has been muffled for about 10 days. Pretty sure it was cold related but I don't know when I'm getting to a doctor.
