Because Reddit is as liberal as this site is conservative.

It's hilarious. I'll get called a lib on here and I've been called basically an alt right Nazi on Reddit before.

Yeah...how do you have such a lack of awareness that you burn your foot on a radiator while playing video games (are you too fat to see your foot? Don’t know where the radiator is? Not smell or hear your flesh cooking?)

I sympathize with his health problem a great deal. I do not sympathize with his apparent complaint about the bill.

Health care involves goods and services just like anything else. Someone is paying for all of it. Here, it sounds like most but not all of it will be paid for by his (healthier) colleagues.

Nothing much to see here.

Generally local subreddits are even more liberal than reddit as whole. I’d imagine the Portland Uber reddit is pretty tankie

Insurance sucks arse.

Pity healthcare will never be viewed as a universal right in this country any time soon.

No reason people should be dying in first world country with easily treatable conditions.

I follow the New Orleans one just to watch people complain about rent and gentrification

Houston just pretends Houston is way more liberal than it really is

If my healthcare is put in jeopardy by others who completely neglect their own health, it's going to be a problem.

This universal healthcare:

Healthy people are going to pay a shite ton more for unhealthy people and people who work will pay a shite ton more for people who dont work to have healthcare.

Universal healthcare isnt going to improve your quality of care.

Agree. Story is BS.

How do you put on socks and shoes or even sandals without seeing your toes are jacked up?

There's gonna have to be a lot more government involvement in people's lives if we want to have ALL conditions and treatments covered by the public. You think we have a lot of laws and interference now? Wait until we are on the hook for each others' dietary and physical activity decisions.

Now, if you want to talk about universal preventative care, that's another ballgame.
