A really bad reaction to antidepressants can sometimes be a symptom of bipolar
Combined with the insomnia, I’d discuss the possibility with my doctor if I were you. There is a bp 2 that’s milder
Google the mdq and see how you do

don't know about that one, but I will say triazolam has been a gamechanger for my insomnia

I hope you get this worked out. Not sleeping is terrible.

Use good ole Remeron or generally referred to as Mirtazapine. It is designed to help you get a long night’s sleep. Sleep better, physically feel better, brain feels better, mind doesn’t feel beat to hell! Worked for me.

To the OP-
Trazadone is safe to take in doses as high as 600 mg but not without knowing a lot more information that you have left out. However, generally speaking - it’s sedative effects are maximized by the time you get to 300 mg or so. I have not seen many people benefit for higher doses to target sleep. Now for treatment resistant depression and mixed anxiety - I have seen people get much better on doses that high.
Short answer - if it’s not working by the dose you are on - it probably won’t help your sleep.
For the next idea:
That is even better for sleep but usually when you stick to really low doses (7.5-22-5 mg). As you escalate the dose of Remeron, the sedative effects are reduced and it becomes more of an atypical antidepressant.
As always, talk to your physician on Monday. This is not a medical emergency and don’t bother the person on call with it.

There’s no person on call unfortunately
But you think it’s ok to not sleep for a week and risk another manic episode? I don’t think it’s an emergency like I wouldn’t go to the er. But I think my doctor should help me
Thanks for the trazadone info. I’ll stick to 300mg

I take half my 100mg tablets and will be groggy the next day. I would have to call off work Monday if I were to take 450mg tonight
