What if that doesn't happen?

Do any of you think inflation is done? It is going to get worse. The Potato and the G7 is threatening to try to cap russian oil prices . That could backfire and cause gas/diesel to rise drastically.
Bloomberg = JPMorgan sees $380 oil per barrel

Lot of protest over the last few years about non issues. Nobody is screaming about inflation reaching 30-40%. Last I checked most Americans were living paycheck to paycheck.
Lots of those people that were burning and vandalizing aren’t productive members of society, much less put something back into the system that takes productive members of societies money and redirects it to people who would be better off somewhere else. It’s easy for those people to not complain, so far, when it ain’t your money.

There is plenty of protest and noise about inflation. You just don't see it on TV or online much because it's bad for the team.

When there is serious shite going on, all they have to do is distract them

Americans typically protest this kind of economy in the ballot box. It’s the economy, stupid.

Not even close. The Fed's raising of rates won't drain enough money from the economy immediately (it's why they have set a goal of ~3% by the end of the year).
Meanwhile, the Plagiarizer-In-Chief is still doing his level best to frick the oil and gas industry as hard and deeply as possible. The absolute worst part about this aspect is one of the big goals is to drive more people into using EVs but not only do we not have the supply (minimum of 3-4 month wait) but we have the manufacturing capacity for only ~700k per year (currently).
Without even getting into the issue of EVs costing far more than ICE vehicles, he's fricking over people (the poor, especially) by trying to force them to buy something that doesn't even fricking exist yet.
It's madness run amok.

That’s before COVID-19 was a thing, but COVID-19 also brought mail in voting, which might have something to do with why the country has went to shite since the Orange Mean Old Man got voted out.

Stood in the grocery store on Friday in front of the meat counter. An older guy standing next to me commented on the high prices. I said "Let's go Brandon!" He said " Hell yes! "
People know who is responsible for this and the Democrats will pay the price in November.

Hungry people don’t stay hungry for long.
We will see some political turnover in the coming elections. However, nothing will change because both parties have the same shitty fiscal positions. Republicans may stick their fingers in the dyke, but they won’t do anything to address the long term problems. In fact, they’ll do something to make it worse: tariffs, foreign conflicts, etc, etc.
