I don't really have a set lunch time either. I might take 20 minutes and eat at my desk. I might go out to eat and run errands and take 2 hrs.
My schedule is mostly flexible. I also have to be on call and work in the middle of the night sometimes though.

I work 8-4:30 with 30 min lunch. I can flex around that if needed for doctor's appointments, etc (come in early or stay late).
We also take turns carrying a phone 24/7 for any infection control questions/emergencies in the hospital.

I’m 6 AM to 10 PM some days and 10 AM to 3 PM some days with an hour lunch in there . It totally depends what’s going on. Probabaly truly work about 50 hours a week on average.

9am is common in the NE bc of commute times, but they work late. Unless they are Jewish, on a Friday. Have to be home before sundown, for Shabbat, which is crazy to me.

I haven’t worked more than 7 hours a day in a long time. Hell, I don’t think I work more than 7 hours a week now that I think about it.

I’ve never heard of a 9-5 job. Closest I’ve seen is 830-5 with a 30 minute lunch

I typically work 6-5 and sometimes 5-5
