They got rid of the presidential fitness test because it wasn't keeping kids healthy. It was contributing to bullying.
They also replaced the test with a new version. Schools have had a fitness test/program for kids since they got rid of Presidential Fitness.
Trump reinstating this is just bringing back the recognizable name of a program that was never successful. He's doing this for a cheap win. That's all.

Good news.
Wonder if some parents will sue to prevent their child from having to participate. We all had to participate when I was in school, unless you had some real disability, obviously.
The sit and reach was my downfall. Failed every time time.
