That seems… not great. Right?

Like surely we can all admit, even if you’re happy to see Jimmy go, that this is a bad precedent.

Surely? Hopefully?

Yeah, but the entire leftist population is just as culpable because they have used Nazi, fascist , Racist , bigot, blah ,blah, blah to describe the right or anyone without their extreme far left views.

People on the right play the same exact game though. Read through this thread.

Freedom of speech is very important. Freedom to have an 8 figure contract with Disney where you offend the majority of your potential viewing audience is not a freedom.

The FCC was threatening Nexstar with investigations. And even if they are….so what? What does ABC have to hide so much that they have to avoid an investigation?

Because the FCC can pull ABC’s license whenever it wants. The FCC could investigate, determine they didn’t like what Kimmel said, and end ABC and its affiliates almost instantly.

Previous FCC chairs never behaved like that. I’m sure you won’t be upset when the shoe is on the other foot and the FCC chair works for a Democrat

Where were you when people were getting canceled for not getting a shot? Or for misgendering some fairy?

Where were you?

Him and Howard Sten are best friends. Stern didn’t mention the CK assassination last week. I interested to see if he defends Kimble Monday. Hopefully he’s next to get cancelled

No one is saying they don't have the right tom say hurtful things, but they are not exempted from the consequences of said free speech.

Bad precedent for America. So long to free speech. Midterms are going to be brutal to the Republicans. Can’t wait for the eventual shift.

The state, through the FCC, pressuring a company to silence someone is antithetical to American ideals of liberty.

Perhaps don't throw boomerangs, they tend to fly back at you. The left started this a while ago.
