I think Disney is done. They chose the wrong side.

It’s because they chose A side. They didn’t have to choose a side.

The Dow is down 15% during this time frame. Disney being down 50% is not within any deviation window I'm familiar with. So this is outside of the stock market decline, which means they have external influences (their stupid identity and political agendas) affecting the stock.

Disney is consumer discretionary and those companies get beat up more during times of economic uncertainty.

I hate the woke shite, but Disney’s plunge has nothing to do with it.

Universal who also has a theme park division, plus movies and TV is up 4% year to date. So what does that tell you?

Bingo.

Roku is down 80% in the past 12 months
Netflix down 70%
Comcast down 35%
Even a diversified company like Amazon is down 30% with a big portion of that being due to their tv services.

Streaming services were overvalued. P/E ratios have been hit hard.

So Disney is down almost double Comcast, and Comcast is more inline with the DOW overall. Right?

translation: Disney going woke is killing them

No doubt, but their stock was as high as 141 at the end of March. The more precipitous drop started then, which, coincidentally, coincides with the "Don't say gay" controversy that they backed. The stock has fallen over 30% in the last 2+ months. I think to discount entirely the political aspect of their decline would be shortsighted.

Buy low sell high does not apply here. I need to see some signals that a company has gotten its head out of its arse or is making good decisions that will lead to profits in the future.

Disney is NOT making good financial decisions.

Disney's head is STILL up its arse.

There's much better investments.

Pixar's downfall was when they got away from animating talking animals and inanimate objects and became focused on people.

And its got much further to drop. Should be trading at no more than 40% of current price based on present P/E ratio alone. The slow motion train wreck of an economy will only add to the downward pressure since families will not have the resources to head to parks. Also would not be surprised if Disney+ subscriptions drop even more when the fake buzz movie is added.
