It's mostly people who have made their opinion largely based off what they've heard and read from others or are just miserable people to be with anywhere unless they're in their "happy place".

Talking a baw out of his deer stand or off his boat and it just sucks...doesn't matter what it is.

It definitely makes more sense for families but there's still tons to do for adults and it offers the same things other places that adults go to all the time.
I've been to Disneyworld. I've never sat in a deer stand. I've never fished from a boat except deep sea.

Yes, adults can drink alcohol and eat fine meals at Disneyworld...for 3× the price they could in any other destination city.

The nicer restaurants at the hotels and Disney Springs are not overpriced for the Orlando area. Inside the parks can be expensive for the food you get, sure. But that’s true for any “experience” dining.

And you're wrong again. If you don't know what you're talking about why would you try to argue this and especially be hyperbolic in your argument. It doesn't make you more compelling, it makes more pathetic.

Is Disney dining more expensive than say Lafayette dining, sure.

But go take Disney table service and signature dining and put the prices up against comparable restaurants in places like 30A, NYC, Scotssdale, Vegas, Austin, Boulder, etc etc etc and you'll see your statement just isn't true.

It's a resort and vacation destination and their dining is priced very very accordingly for what they offer compared to their "competitors".

I had friends who went for their first time last month and hated it. Sending texts the entire time like "I cant believe ya'll enjoyed this" and " "

The next day I called to find out what the issue was and they said the food was great but the experience just wasn't what they were expecting. All I could tell him was that was on him. V&A is incredible.

Top 3 dining experience in my life.

Not going to waste time trying to explain this to you when you have no desire to discuss this in good faith.

You've already been given a large number of other reasons from other posters. Stop wasting everyone's time reiterating this same question.

I agree the dining costs are comparable, but I don't even think you need to go to destination cities to find comparable costs. Even going out to a nice meal here in the Birmingham area costs about what I would spend for a nice meal at Disney World. The difference is I'm eating more nice meals in a week at Disney than I usually eat in a week elsewhere. That's my choice though. I could just as easily eat cheap from the various quick service spots in the parks.

My daughter and I watched a POV video for this ride on YouTube. Princess and the Frog was one of her favorite movies growing up.

She says to me "This is boring. Why didn't they do an Emperor's New Groove ride instead?"

It always seemed like a stupid idea to put a ride located in South Louisiana in Frontierland anyway.

For a more authentic New Orleans experience, the ride should have been the streets of NOLA which are flooded after a light rain. Your boat is carjacked halfway through. Maybe have a Teedy animatronic screaming "Phase Ta Two" before the big drop.

Well, there are rumors that Frontierland may be rethemed because the old west isn’t inclusive (which is dumb). Tiana/New Orleans may bleed over, and Big Thunder may become part of a generic “Latin” land as they expand beyond the berm.

And in Disneyland, it was adjacent to New Orleans Square already.

Disney's a big company with a lot of resources. They could easily set up a big, secret alligator breeding farm somewhere.

Drop some lizards of peace into the ride at random points. There's your Bayou Adventure.

Only waterfalls I have seen are man made ones when the levees fail for a hurricane or they open up the spillway for a spring flood event on the Mississippi.

Not quite in Louisiana, but just across the state line, in Wilkinson county, MS, the Clark Creek Natural Area has a number of waterfalls, as well as a topography unique in the area. Great place to take a hike.

They're already turning Country Bear Jamboree into a Disney hits singalong. The "ideas" they've publicly discussed for new lands beyond Big Thunder Mountain would involve removing part of the river around that area of the park, which would mean the steamboat can't run anymore.

I don't see the difference in this and updating Norway to Frozen. That seems more out of place no longer being a country but all the children love it.

You and I are having a discussion. I am asking you.

What are the "tons" of reasons to go to Disneyworld besides to make your kids happy?

Do people actually care about the story behind a themed ride? I just want to go down that big arse drop.

No, but it is more fun watching Disney destroy itself than any of the rides at their parks.
