What hobbies at home should a man have instead? Video games are lots of fun

I know groups of women who go there every year. It is very common. They go have fun in the park, then they go hit the night life nearby.

What I couldn't do
No way I could go to Disney in July or August. Doing the parks in the heat just seems miserable.

I'm really not sure anymore who is more cultish, people that go to Disney, or people that hate on people who go to Disney.
One groups motivation is enjoying Disney vacations, can't figure out the others.

people that criticize other grown adults for doing things they want to with the money they earn, what an odd group

Outside food is allowed in the park. So gas/cheap hotel/park tickets. Same as a pricy condo on the beach for a long weekend?
Can’t imagine how much this costs them. And they aren’t “rich” but just kinda solidly middle class (maybe 150k income).
I wouldn't do it but it may not be that expensive.

It's a escape. LIke rock and roll, movies, etc.
I don't care for video games but see nothing wrong.

We just did it 2 weeks ago. It wasn't bad at all. My girls are older so we don't have to do princess meet and greets or any of that type of stuff. This time of year it rains just about every afternoon between 3-4. Our daily routine for 5 days was this:
- Breakfast in the hotel between 9-10.
- Get to the parks around 10:30-11 and take it easy.
- Plan to eat lunch between 3-4 to dodge the showers.
- Hit the parks hard in the evenings when it's not 100°.

My biggest qualm with Disney adults is the fact that for the money- they could literally travel the world. Why not go see Europe or Africa or Asia? Experience real life.

Some have been on all those vacations and those are not trips you usually do again the following year. Where Disney is easily doable a few times a decade.

1) How do you know they don't?
2) This is always said but "Disney adults" aren't the ones booking $10K, 10 day trips in Deluxe resorts. This group typically drives or catches $50 Spirit flights and goes for 2-3 days. Total trip can cost under a grand.

Love Disney. It ain’t all about the characters. Wife and I have been three times since empty nest. We also toured the Mediterranean in May-June this year. Going West in December, Las Vegas first then see where we wind up after that for two weeks. Then Disney again in February. It’s all about what you like. Do it!

Imagine caring what people do with their vacations.

Wait, timeout -
I thought "Disney Adults" was code for a massive underground swinger's convention? News to me.

I thought I was sharing my opinion when I insinuated (or is it implied) that it's odd for adults to worry about how other adults spend their money. Am I not allowed to share my opinion if it does not align with your opinion?

As F*ed up as it is, you know as well as I do there are a large number of these Disney adults that are 100% perfectly ok with this. And there is probably a certain segment that doesn't think they do enough.
The part I find strange is those against the Disney Adults are not affected by the Disney Adult if they actually do not go to Disney.

I have never done Disney without kids, but my wife and I have discussed doing the wine & food festival one year once the kids are out of the house. Don't really have a desire for anything else at Disney without kids but have heard great reviews about the festival.

I also know a married couple in their thirties with 2 kids (youngest 2) who will be taking their 12th trip in their 14 years of marriage.
I know a poster here who had year passes for like 5 years and spent damn near every holiday and at least 1-2 weekends a month with his wife and 2 kids at Disney.

I don’t mind adults going to Disney. Most grew up going, and grew up with the movies and they are just chasing that feel good nostalgia from their childhood
I do find it a bit weird when they make Disney their personality however
