The basic GE for apartments guess that bill. I know my local supply house sells them.
They are batch and use timers instead of computers.

We just replaced a GE Cafe with a Bosch 800 and my wife is damn near giddy at how much better this dishwasher drys. For years we would have to wait a day with the door open for dishes to dry to put away. Now we can put them away as soon as the cycle is done

Thanks Napoleon. I'd like to buy from my local appliance store because they service and they are very responsive. I just checked and they only have the following brands. Any recommendations out of those?
Amana
JennAir
KitchenAid
Maytag
Whirlpool

Any help would be appreciated?

I’m too lazy to go find all the articles I read about it when I made the decision, but spend the money on a Bosch Benchmark series and be happy.

If I remember the main features:
Some have a “time til end “ light projection on the floor. Others just a red light indicating it’s on. Because it’s so quiet, you’ll probably miss that it’s on if you don’t look for the light.
There are too controls and front controls. Including one with a clock. I did not get the one with the clock. I got the top controls.
The water softener and softening salt make a huge difference in the ability to keep things clean.
The lack of superheating element for drying means it’s a bit gentler on certain dishes. You may need to keep a rag around to dry stuff if you forget the Jet Dry, but I actually like the way it cleans so much, and I like that it doesn’t get so hot that it melts things that accidentally find their way to the bottom that I think it’s a decent trade off.

All those brands are the same brand. They are all Whirlpool. Kitchenaid is their higher end. Jenn Air is fire the Gormound, Maytag is innovative, Amana is usually cheaper and Whirlpool is the middle road.
They ask use the same motor and pumps but have slight differences.

Wdt750sahz Will clean better than Bosch and even dry plastic dishes when using the extended dry feature without rinse aid. Hands down best dishwasher for the price. Probably around 629 right now.

You’ve been here a long time. You had to know the thread would go the way it went with the original title.

Find you a local small appliance dealer and check with them. They may not have one in stock since those are not in as big of a demand.. but they can get you one.

Plus they can honor the warranty on it. A big box store has to call someone they have contacted with and they are sometimes an hour or more away and cannot get to you for weeks sometimes.

There are a bunch of people that put led lights and go pros in their dishwashers.

We have been through a couple in this house and finally bought a Bosch. Very quiet and cleans the dishes really well.

I have a washer and dryer almost that old and I can still find replacement parts. Do you just not want to bother with fixing?

Have had nothing but good luck with our Fisher Paykal. It's a double drawer washer.

I don't believe it's fixable at this point.
