Discussion of the Machine in Alabama which allegedly controls everything

There is pretty good discussion on the shadow government at UA that allegedly runs everything here. Although they talk about how Britt, then a younger idealist willing to buck them at UA, truth is she eventually fell into line and is now an obedient, compliment, servant of the machine, and will do what she is told.
That’s the one big difference between Alabama and the other Southern states, it’s completely run by an organization that was set up by a few Skull n bones members from Yale that were in bama for a decade in the 1800s with the foundries around Birmingham. It’s never been clear why they showed the local “boss hogs” how to do this, whether there is connection between the Alabama machine and the skull and bones machine, they were just bored etc.

These "shadow government" conspiracy theories topple over their logical inconsistencies. For example, the "Machine" is such a well-oiled machine...and runs such a shitty state such as Alabama. You would think they could do just a tad bit better.

Those in power care not about the state of affairs of those they rule.
Benevolence is not a trait shared by those in charge.
Have you read a history book?

Thomas Hobbes would argue that it would be absurd to imagine a nefarious shadow state so perfect in its nefariousness but so perfectly inept in its governance.
The “Machine” proto-State in Alabama would initially entail rogue, oligarchical gangsterism but would have gradually evolved by now into a stable, functioning government…which yes, would have begun putting the needs of the people in high priority because the state’s legitimacy is predicated on the satisfaction of the masses.

If this is true, explain Tuberville. Or Roy Moore. Hint—it isn’t true.

And Ivey.
Making the former Auburn coach the US Senator and an Auburn grad the Governor of Alabama are just tricks by the super, evil-doers in the Machine to hide their misdeeds.
