The major issue is that no one has figured out how to increase the birth rate. Hungary offered people a bunch of money through loans, which raised their birth rate 40%, but they need to raise it another 45% to reach replacement rates. The numbers for Americans across ethnic groups is utterly cataclysmic, as the numbers imply 950-975 out of 1000 women of appropriate age are not pregnant. For an economy designed around perpetual growth, that doesn't portend anything but immigration. Finally people started talking about it Trump's last year, with Cory Booker and Mitt Romney proposing bills to try to boost those rates.

I just don't know why these people won't let go of their autonomy and turn over their executive power to a handful of unelected people in Brussels?!
Don't they know it's for the greater good and to ensure safety and freedom?

There's a path for conservativism to embrace this, in a support families set of policies but they'll have to be willing to be more generous with programs.

That was one of the coldest fricking things I heard from the media during the blm riots as if those assholes had the right to burn down people's business because a cop shot somebody. Those types of people deserve to have all their personal belongings destroyed by angry mobs that they support.

I personally think conservatives are trying to run out the clock on white boomers, before effectively allowing this. The census data supports this notion. For all the talk about resistance, the US has an extremely old and overweight population with significant wealth. That screams to me a continuation of the status quo until the last possible moment.
