Scruffy is so deep and philosophical tonight!

Not really. Just less sober.

Been a weird day. Was wondering earlier, at what points is it perfectly acceptable from a moral standpoint to take a life.

The 9 week old infant being murdered and a tv show Scruffy was watching just had him contemplating.

Scruffy isn't really deep or even that smart. I think he just tries to appear that way.

Weird, huh?

Because the posters who make fun of human suffering aren't the same ones who express sadness about the dogs.

As I have journeyed through life, many more people have viciously bitten and mauled me, metaphorically speaking, than dogs have literally

OP, kids and animals are pretty defenseless. Easier to have compassion for something/someone who has little control over what happens to them then it is for adults who can/should know better and can/should make better choices (Duplantier murders and other murders excepted).
I have more compassion for the dog shot for acting like a dog, then the adult who makes stupid decisions.

This.

I actually agree with this. The majority of dogs aren't dickheads.

Dogs are honest and do not hide their true motivations..

Whereas as I have grown older, I have learned that most people are dishonest and unworthy of benefit of doubt.
