Starlink is $120 (unlimited data)
Rev is I think $85 (one level above the lowest data)
I never used Starlink before. Just checking with yall to see if I was missing something with Starlink even tho its $35/month more expensive.

Why don't you just send a light beacon from your bedroom, so the aliens can come over and probe you?

What? Stupid response
If you get internet from space, is it different from my internet?
Mine is fast enough and pretty reliable for $50 a month.

Ok thats a sensible response now. Thanks auggie

I like to get the jokes out there first, before somebody else does it.
I'm prideful that way.

That's pretty dang cheap.
OP, Im paying 165 for Starlink unlimited for my RV.
Thinking about ditching ATT home internet, but need to look at bandwidth. ATT is like 225 for home bundle

That's for home and I have a good enough signal in my shop. that's from Spectrum.
I also have a mobile hotspot from Straight talk, I just pay for that as I need it.

If you have fiber/copper to your residence, why would you go with Starlink?
Also, why is your service that high? Don’t most companies have a $50/mo tier?

Your price problem isn't due to the Internet portion of that.

I don't know what rev is, but Starlink should be a last resort if you live in an urban area.

Never heard of Rev, so cant comment there.
If you live in an area that does not have access to high speed internet, then Starlink is a no brainer.
I switched my grandmother to it, installed it, and the app pretty much does the rest as far as initializing and getting you up and running.
And for Satellite, I can tell you, I was surprised.
In my back home office, using a mesh Orbi setup, on fiber, my wireless speed is 250mbps download and 50 upload.
Her Starlink speeds are..... 250mbps down and 50 mbps up.
Granted, if I were to run a drop to my back office and didnt have the interference of a fireplace from it and the closet router on wireless, my speeds would be faster, but to hit that and have it consistently stay that way on satellite is a no brainer if you cannot get speeds like that in your area.
The only Con is you have to install the dish, run the cables, and make it all nice and neat.
Granted, you could hire someone to do this, but its not that difficult.

Honestly I use both. At my camp I use Starlink. It works fantastic for me. I wish I could get something to help bridge the gap between my camp and my pier. The mesh node distance seems too great. I generally hold 250 download speeds. I have no other viable internet options there sk Starlink is a must. It allows me to work and video conference. I am pleased.
Rev- I use a slightly more expensive package than the $85. We have 3 users who all work from home so I need a bit more bandwidth. It is fine and I don’t have any issues at all.
All things equal if you can hold solid wifi speeds on REV for a cheaper monthly price then go for it.

Starlink is great but would be more advantageous if you were in an area that didn't have great reliable internet service.
Rev is top tier. I'd go with Rev.

I was getting starlink till the fiber guy showed up. I’m getting 200 down and almost 100 up for $75/mo. Starlinks only advantage is being portable. But the speed is slower and the cost is greater.

Speed is excellent, coverage is everywhere.
You'll need clear line-of-sight to set up Sat, takes like 2 minutes.

I’ve been with Starlink for 3 years. Excellent ‘no-brainer’ option for those without fiber/copper. I now have Spectrum fiber which just came to my rural area. It blows Starlink out of the water with its high end package. Getting 1100mbps down/1050 up(wired) and 900/900 (wireless).
Starlink is so good for what it is, I didn’t get rid of it. I now have Starlink 10gb/mo for $10 as a backup. $80/mo for 1gig fiber AND Starlink backup. If a hurricane rolls up the DEMCO poles taking Spectrum with it, I can change my Starlink plan on the app to get 50gb or unlimited Roam while the lines are down.
