Wits and Wagers is much more fun as a trivia game.

Millinials should love a game where they don't have to know right answers to win.

Why would you think homes all over our neighborhood and 4800 population town didn't have a TP set in 1981 and beyond?

See. frickers around here can, and will, make anything political. I'm convinced that it is a mental disorder.

Pretty apt name, though:

If you know trivia you'll still do very well in the game. Just place your bet accordingly.

On the other hand, someone that doesn't know trivia will still have fun.

ETA: One thing that throws a group for a loop is if a question that's asked is in the field/interest of one of the players. They can throw off the group by purposely stating an incorrect answer and then bet one someone else's that's actually closer. So there is a bit of a strategy for someone who knows trivia. Chaos and hilarity ensues.

My family had a version of it (guess it might have been the family edition). I enjoyed them.

Yes. And it was our go-to game in college as well.

Ours threw us a bone and let the kids join the family feud when couples were over etc. It was always the first game. Then, someone also brought their set and the kids were told to play our own game, or in other words, go over there and let the adults have some drinks.

An older kid would always snatch a few beers to pass around for the daring

I was 19 in 1981. I married that year. I think we bought one in the next couple of years though

I got the game in the divorce.

We do. Drives my wife crazy though because I always win. She even went and bought a “90s Edition” of Trivial Pursuit and I still smoked her.

We use to pull it out to play sometimes when we’d have friends over and play couples instead of one on one. But they’ve figured out the same thing my wife did, this odd brain of mine is packed full of completely useless information.

You are an odd one, interestingly how much you have swung right of center in a month when you posted this in the Poli board:
