They called home but the storm tied up the phone lines. Did you even watch the movie?

..first class on an international delta flight
I'd still fly emirates or sing air.
I flew singair coach to Moscow and then Singapore. Drank a bottle of complimentary beam on each leg. Not a mini bottle, a fifth.
Little Singaporean ladies were pretty impressed. Enough so they told the shift change on the second leg and they brought me my drinks before takeoff
They treat you right.

you need to rewatch the scene where Kevin lunges into Buzz and spills the milk on the table. ticket gets swept into the trash along with some wet paper towels.

That's Delta One, a business class product.
Delta doesn't have international first class.

16 hours first leg. Three hour layover and it extended to 14 hours for the second leg.
Was my first international flight ever, so I was drinking to try to pass out. I caught some wierd transatlantic third wind and just could not sleep.
I power blackouted right through the hangover and jet lag.
Woke up looking like old pale beef jerky.

It's not a good point. The movie mentions multiple times the lines are down.

I would have pulled a Carrie Fischer and died in my fricking seat

Didn't Kevin order pizza using the phone? Yea the parents were horrible.

Kevin’s parents were rich as frick and awful, awful people. They only cared about Kevin as far as it meant for their social reputation. Anytime they get Kevin back in control, they continue with business as usual emotionally abusing him.

Well the phone lines were down at the start, but Kevin orders a pizza halfway through the film. His parents didn’t give a single frick.

In the beginning of the movie, do you remember the phone company was there and told the lady that "Ma Bell" won't be able to fix the phone lines for a week or so.
So the phones were out to the house/area.
He orders a pizza halfway through the movie. He also calls 911 to rat on the wet bandits. They tried maybe twice, crossed their Ts by calling the police, and no shite given from there.

so go eat a bag of dicks.
How about you go eat a bag of dicks. The phones were back online halfway through the movie. The entire McCallister family is filled with shitheads but Kevin himself. Kate McCallister is one of the biggest worthless count in cinematic history, especially when lecturing Tim Curry on him being a piece of shite in the sequel.
“Because of you, our child is lost in one of the biggest cities in the world.”
Hey, frick off count. It’s because you’re a piece of shite materialist whore who doesn’t give a single shite about her kids that your child is lost in one of th me biggest cities in the world.
I and other posters have made it our life’s work to document how worthless and awful the McCallisters at large are: LINK

This is the ONLY benefit of the doubt she receives, because they accidentally threw Kevin’s ticket away with the wet pizza. But even if she had realized Kevin’s missing ticket, the whole family would have proceeded to treat Kevin as a punching bag per the norm and likely worse than usual.

My Grandfather worked for Boeing, my cousin works for Airbus. Overall, Airbus is the better company and product nowadays. Boeing needs to improve their engine's efficiency.
