It's hard for me to believe that some multi gazillionaire hasn't developed that into something like a private luxury community.

It's government-owned and they don't usually allow people to visit. Plus it's only 20 acres in the middle of a river and most of the usable area probably has buildings with asbestos.

Pretty sure an episode of What On Earth did a segment on this where they actually visit and video the island.
