I still have a couple of the ones I bought in the 80s and some of the newer ones as well.

I had this one. I remember getting it for Christmas and not liking it. My mom got it for me and she was so proud that she picked it out for me. Didn’t have much money but she always got me things I wanted. I couldn’t bring myself to tell her I didn’t like it.

I wore the shite out of it and changed the swatch guard out all the time.

Anyone else put 2 swatch guards on and twist them together?

I had the See Through Jellyfish, like the one you wanted.

I got it for Christmas in 7th grade and it was a big deal to me. I earned it.

Nevertheless, the clear bands and even the clear watch face turned yellow quickly.

It went from see through to opaque pretty fast.

You don’t miss much man.

They’re still pumping them out

The MoonSwatch was such a hit that their revenue has been hitting all-time highs, and Swatch Group had to open new factories to keep up with demand.

Side note, Swatch [which comes from S(econd)watch] despite being all quartz movements, is credited with saving the Swiss mechanical watch industry during the "quartz crisis".

yep. I turned them on an angle so they made 2 overlapping triangles across the watch face.

Stretched them too much that way and snapped a few as a result but it looked cool.

Looks like they upped their game on some of these watches.

This one is $270.

I had a white one and a pink one.

My husband had four or five including the all-black with a yellow guard. His Swatches and red Converse hi-tops were part of the reason my 15 year old twist-a-bead, jelly shoe, Esprit tank with slashed Flashdance sweatshirt, acid wash-wearing self started dating him.

We were so 80s it hurt.

Subtle “my family could afford a Swatch watch” brag. During that era, when Coke shirts were cool, my parents could only afford a knock-off Pepsi shirt (to my eternal shame). I never got anywhere near owning a Swatch watch.

I always wanted one, but the coolest I could be was with the old school casios. Which weren’t very cool then but kinda made a comeback with teenagers a few years ago.
