Are there "secret" groups that work behind the scenes to skew the world in their favor at the expense of the majority of people? I have no doubt. Are these groups religious/cultish in nature? I really don't think so. I'm sure they have their heirarchies and their crazy One Percenter parties where people wear masks, things get out of hand and a few deaths might need to be covered up. But for the most part it's all about the Benjamins and being powerful enough to get the average person to cover their stupid bets like the housing bubble so they can stay on top.

These groups have become alot less secret in the past few years. But it hasn't changed much. Even though there is more information and more truth known about these groups now then ever before most Americans are too apathetic, uneducated, or in too much denial to learn or care about who really pulls the strings in this country.
Unfortunately the ones who do care are duped into using all of their energy for what amounts to non-issues. The most recent example of this is the protests over the past couple years revolving around Police killing and beating people and the statue removal. Nevermind that these are repeat offending criminals in the act of a crime, they isolated the one issue in a vacuum and attacked it. It keeps the people distracted and weak. A person is smart, people are dumb. Rome knew to fear the mob. Pick whatever slogan you want.
Imagine if all of the time and resources and community organizing and uniting of all walks of life spent on the protests for these faux-outrage causes were spent on actually improving inner-cities and challenging local governments to reform education and opportunities for the youth in their communities. They could actually change the world.

Or is that part of the conspiracy? That they are letting these little leaks happen to control the masses?

It's all conflicting for me too, as I became a Ranger fan when GW owned the team in the 80s.
