Did anyone else get a “secure your dog” postcard in the mail?

I’m wondering if this was just sent randomly or if they’re actually worried about my dogs? My dogs stay in the house and have never chased the mailman.

The ultra efficient postal service did their research and sent it to specific houses

Black dude bringing the mail the good guy, white person with a lab the bad guy.
It's never pitbulls I'm sure.

our mail lady will pull up and if my lab is in the window barking she will mark it undeliverable and I have to pick it up at the post office. Pisses me the frick off, I've complained multiple times.

We got one and we don’t have a dog. I think it may be sent randomly maybe to areas where there are dogs that could be problematic?
I see both sides of it. In my parents neighborhood, the mail carrier threatened to stop delivering mail all together because they constantly have people whose dogs are loose. At the same time, we had a DoorDash driver once refuse to get out of the car because the neighbor’s cat was sitting under our covered porch.

No, I don't own a pit bull.

You would have to ask your carrier, but I only deliver those to addresses where we have known issues.

Yall are trashy. Our mailman brings our spaniel treats. She loves him.

The dog looks happy to see the mailman.

I did, and I don’t even have a dog.

Yeah, I wish we could have used the dog that nearly killed my carrier last year. Multiple surgeries and was out of work for 6 months. She’s back to work but her arm is not completely back to normal. Will probably require more surgery to get it closer to normal use wise.

If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch

I did as well, and my mailman is a white, heterosexual male.

Of course he does...he's pumped up to bite the mailman.

is this the excuse USPS is using for their shitty delivery service?

When my Aussie Shepherd was alive, she spent a lot of time with me up at the office. Our postman was scared of her (and she could be very scary) until I explained the "ladder of aggression." If she doesn't know you, she'll block you from coming back to my desk. Once she knows you, she'll let you come back but she'll always be between us. Now, she's known you long enough that you are part of her protectorate. He said "how do you know I'm part of the protectorate" so I said "get 'em" and she started looking around for someone to get (as opposed to engaging).
I had a route delivery guy at my house and the Aussie got out. She had no issue with him, but he blasted her with pepper spray. After that, she wanted to go kick his arse. My long-time lawn man, who never had an issue with her, go paranoid so he dusted her with his leaf blower. She ran him up on the hood of this truck until I came out and retrieved her. She never forgave him LOL.
