That piece of land south of I-12 was originally supposed to be an office park.

I B Freeman has a point and it really may come down to that vote.

Somebody added this to Robert LA's Wiki page:

"Minnie's Roadhouse in central Robert, Louisiana, manifested a pronounced preference in intercollegiate sports until the restaurant closed in 2011."

They will figure out a way to do it without a vote in Tangipahoa Parish.

I’ll be looking out for that guy in Ponchatoula who puts the corruption signs up in the back of his truck

Knowing the people who own that land and a lot of other land in Tangi, I would be surprised if this development or a similar one does not move forward.

I will see how things pan out and although we do like it here, we are not anchored here by any means. Like Cgrand said, we can sell well above right now.

Unfortunately I moved to get some peace and quiet when I am away from work. It concerns me that DR Horton has bought such large pieces of land as well. Pretty sure there is a lawsuit for the 185 home subdivision they are building down the road.

I will say that I used to have deer in my backyard all the time. Have only seen a couple this past year.

I hope the opposition builds sooner than later for this. Once these projects pick up steam it’s hard to stop them because of the money involved

Yes it is. The park in Ponchatoula is nice and actually just 2 miles to the south. But Hammond passed us up on this one. The Hammond park is much better and they did it in such a way that gives them plenty of area to expand.
