They are back to their traditional Thanksgiving start, but the turf course has to be in good condition for the start of the meet. Horses start arriving for training mid October, I believe.

thanks...I just dont see how JF would have pulled it off
I used to supply forklifts, generators, light towers, trucks, manlifts etc for set up and take down and we started sending shite out there 3 weeks before the fest....as soon as the last horse left pretty much..until almost mid to late may before we started picking shite back up..

Jazzfest destroys the infield and parts of the turf course. And they just put a lot of money into that course the last few years.
