Does anyone know if the defense is going to call the medical examiner to the stand?

The prosecutor will do that.

10-4, I know it has been discussed but it is clear that he ruled that the cause of death was an overdose correct?

No. The cause of death was "cardiopulmonary arrest." Fentayl, arterisclerosis, and the restraints used by the police were listed as contributory factors.
Also, he called it a "homicide."

It will be interesting how the prosecutors try and prove that factor

And the key will be prosecution getting him to say that he wouldn't have died from the first two without the third.

I thought I heard that if he would have been found dead at home it would have been listed as an overdose based off of the toxicology report.

Out of curiosity, where did you hear that? Not saying it's wrong or not. Just wanted to check it.

It varies state by state, I know that in some states that they can charge you with a single count, but the defendant can be found guilty of a lesser. It appears in MN, you have to charge at every level.
Pretty sure in MN, he can be found guilty of all 3 as well...which to me is just stupid, especially since he only serves the penalty of the most severe charge
Also, because of the 3 charges they are pursuing, prosecution doesn't even have to prove that Chauvin "intentionally" killed him...

Ok that made everyone stare at me when I laughed out loud and I'm sitting in the back at a funeral.

Is there any weight to the counter statement, in that he wouldn’t have died from the third without the first two?

What's the point of these juvenile witnesses testifying?? I get that they're witnesses but are they trying to tug at heart strings?

Correct

Floyd had 11 ng/mL of fentanyl in his system.
Fentanyl info
quote:
Overdose results in respiratory depression which is reversible with naloxone. Sudden death can also occur because of cardiac arrest or severe anaphylactic reaction. The estimated lethal dose of fentanyl in humans is 2 mg. The recommended serum concentration for analgesia is 1–2 ng/ml and for anaesthesia it is 10–20 ng/ml. Blood concentrations of approximately 7 ng/ml or greater have been associated with fatalities where poly-substance use was involved. While fatalities have been reported after therapeutic use, many deaths have occurred as a result of the misuse of pharmaceutical products. Both used and unused fentanyl patches have been injected, smoked, snorted or taken orally with fatal consequences.

Of course. Facts don't matter to libs.

If the prosecution had any sense they would have had them as the last witnesses so it would make the jurors more emotional when deliberating.
