It's humorous watching these witnesses start to change the wording of their testimony when Nelson puts them in a spot that is favorable to Chauvin.

The prosecutors are being given a lot of latitude to lead

Exactly how far can a judge allow court officers to go when violating court procedure, and if there is a breaking point when the judge has to stop it, what can the judge impose?

I love how the defense is showing how emotional each of these witnesses is.

Busted big time. And now of course Court TV cuts the live feed.

Are any of our OT attorneys watching?
This whole proceeding appears to be Mickey Mouse to me.

Ref the whole CHOKE thing.
There is a CHOKE and there is a STRANGLE.
Choke attacks air flow/breathing.
Strangle attacks blood flow.
The "EXPERT" should have known this and the Defense should have crucified him for not knowing it. There is no "blood choke". That's like saying a Gas Electric Car. They are different things. Putting the words together doesn't make it something.

I believe the judge said one of the jurors needed a bathroom break.
But I agree with the previous post about the defense showing how emotional these people were. They're walking right into the questioning too.

I'm still amazed that I watch it and then the talking heads are coming on and saying stuff opposite to what I just saw. Jesus the media is so screwed up or I am

You know, you can watch the raw feed on C-SPAN's website if you don't like CourtTV?

Couldn't he hold the prosecutor in contempt?
Of course if he does his house would be fire bombed tonight.

On direct examination, she said she had not seen police check for a pulse. Buton cross examination, the defense brought up a September transcript in which did say she had seen police check for a pulse.

I think (and I could be very, very wrong) at some point the judge can just declare a mistrial for prosecutorial misconduct
but this judge knows the eyes of the country are watching and doesn't want it to end that way
ETA: or as SOSFAN said above... contempt of court is always in play too

The defense is building some pretty good blocks for his closing argument. So far:
No witness so far was there to see the struggle prior to GF on ground.
One witness admitted they checked for a pulse multiple times and didn't change anything they were doing, which tells me he still had a pulse.
Karate man admitted when your the smaller opponent you have to use your center of gravity and submission techniques.
It's clear GF was way bigger than any of the officers.
One witness said at one point GF stopped "resisting".
There's a guy on almost every video telling GF to stop fighting and to just get in the car multiple times.
Anything else?
