I’d say this is the biggest case since OJ, wouldn’t you? I’m sure that case has crossed several of the jurors mind over the weeks.
It's possible but I just don't see them sitting on a verdict just because they are worried about looking like OJ's jury. Maybe someone would mention it but for everyone to agree is an entirely different situation. Who knows though, anything is possible

Just because he has grounds for an appeal doesnt mean the court will grant a new trial. Even if they do it wont happen for 15-20 years. Wheels of justice move very slowly. If he gets convicted he will do the majority of the time.

I feel pretty certain they're going to convict him of something. It won't be murder but they're going to hit him with one of the manslaughter charges.
With that said, if a single juror says any shite about the prosecution putting together a strong case you'll know right away the fix was in. That group was a complete shite show from start to finish.

I’m hearing some internal rumblings that a verdict is expected to be reached before the afternoon is over. Take it for what it’s worth but my source is usually accurate

If this is true, I’m going with guilty on 2nd degree manslaughter. I don’t see how they can possibly justify murder at this point.

Well, if it’s that quick that doesn’t bode well for Chauvin, right?

I mean it would take some highly courageous jury members to dissent from a guilty verdict, even if they truly believed he is not guilty. The political and social climate is a lot to bear when considering ones own quality of life

Don’t think there’s any way we get a not guilty. No way you get all 12 to agree to not guilty.
Will either be a hung jury or guilty on one of the three as a compromise.

How would anyone know this?
Posted on 4/20/21 at 11:08 am to 13SaintTiger
Exactly. We have members of Congress, the fricking crypt keeper President and the media flat out manipulating the outcome.

my question as well... the only people who should know this are the 12 jurors in that room

I agree with you completely. In essence, justice and duty are dead.

and an appeal isn't a new trial its a higher court reviewing the first trial

2nd degree manslaughter, appeal and he can be out in a few years

The media and dem politicians should be ashamed of themselves. If we don’t actually have a rule of law and established court system and allow mob rule, why exactly do we have?
Honestly don’t know how they look themselves in the mirror or sleep at night, because they know exactly what they are doing

The foreman/woman typically keeps the baliff up to date on how things are progressing and can give a time estimate.
It could also be that a verdict has already been reached but will be announced this afternoon. Info leaks...

I cannot imagine what is going on in Chauvin's head right now. Such bullshite he was even charged and he has the President, of all people, saying he is guilty. So irresponsible of Biden. Its not like he watched 1 minute of the trial.

resident Joe Biden on Tuesday said he is praying for George Floyd's family and called the evidence in the Derek Chauvin trial 'overwhelming.'
He said he hoped the jury, which has begun deliberations on the charges of murder and manslaughter against Chauvin, reaches the 'right verdict.'
'I'm praying the verdict is the right verdict. The evidence is overwhelming in my view,' Biden told reporters in the Oval office.
