My question was how did his carotid arteries not compress first, thus rendering him unconscious within the first 10 seconds of the restraint.
How do you know the level of force applied to the neck was constant throughout or that compression of the carotid arteries is an all or nothing proposition?

Does anyone know if the question has been asked by the defense to other witnesses about how we are able to speak? Specifically how was George Floyd able to speak, while pinned down, if he was unable to move air in and out of his lungs. The mechanism for speaking involves moving air over the vocal chords.
because you are relying on a misleading rule of thumb. its possible to move some air but not enough air. your arguement also breaks down heavily when you consider the fact there was several minutes of not being able to speak.

He was responding to my argument with another poster last night.
Someone said that Floyd died because his hypopharynx was compressed from both sides of the neck. The hypopharynx contains a bone and cartilage structures and would take a lot of force to compress.
My question was how did his carotid arteries not compress first, thus rendering him unconscious within the first 10 seconds of the restraint.
I never got an answer.
You can't have it both ways. That's why they are moving to being placed in the prone position. Remember when all we heard was, the knee to the neck killed GF. Now, it's because he was on his stomach and being held down. If I can see these crawfishing arguments sitting in my living room, surely a few of jurors, one being a nurse, can see thru this bs.

I tuned in just in time to see the lady say she knew cause of death from a video. Wowza.

He should have said, if the prone position is unsafe, why are we putting people with a respiratory virus on their stomach
because its a referene to with restraints, your arms behind your back handcuffed is not helpful

Because he was being arrested...he resisted for many minutes, thus the restraint

So this doctor is who did the original autopsy...
Made his conclusions before seeing police videos

So is this medical examiner on defense or prosecution side?

Negative. He performed the autopsy before seeing police videos.

Here's the crux of today's testimony so far. If GF was found dead at home, they would rule it an OD. But since he wasn't, it has to be homicide. She said that police restraint was the ultimate cause. Here's my question, and I hope the jurors are thinking this also: If everything happened, as it did, but GF had not taken drugs, would he have died?
hypothetically....
if your grandpa was for a fact going to die at home sometime soon, and you were caught holding a pillow over his head at the time he died... Do you think you won't get charged for some type of homicide?
