Just about all firefighters are also EMTs now.
And there's a huge difference in EMTs and paramedics. EMTs are only trained in BLS (Basic Lifesaving Services). It's usually around a six week course with regular class and a minimum amount of clinical hours shadowing nurses and other EMTs. Different states have different requirements. Then you must pass a national registry test.
Paramedics are trained in ALS (Advanced Lifesaving Services). They must have their EMT-B (Basic) certification then about 2 years of school with one being classroom work and the other on the job training and so many hours of clinical labs.

She is treating the EMT like an opposition witness it appears. Making it seem like he didn't do a good job saving him, and that he was savable. Makes no sense if you are saying Chauvin killed him.

Hope Nelson asked him if they left the scene and delayed treatment because they didn’t feel safe.
