Tigerland bars bout to have to crack down on minor drinking.
They may shut down anyway if they're that much under the microscope. I'd bet the majority of most college bar income is from underage patrons.

Sounds like Reggie’s is getting put out of business

That commercial insurance policy is going to get maxed out and won’t be renewed

A lot to unpack from this story. So many different checks and balances failed during this crime to allow it to occur.
Some immediate questions:
1: How was she served and how many drinks was she served to reach that level of an impairment?
2: What systems does her sorority have in place when their members go out? Where were her friends, ect?
3: How much did the driver play in the role of the acts of the crime and what was his level of cooperation when questioned?
4: How rural was the area where she was abandoned and how poorly light was it for her not to been seen prior to the crash?
This is one of those cases for the books. The investigation will likely be extensive and last for weeks before all the facts capable of being collected are gathered.
Damn. Just damn.

2 female LSU student deaths in the past 4 months. Unreal and nothing is going to change in the city.

quote:not saying it happened here, but sometimes in college people get so drunk and obnoxious that their friends/sorority sisters/frat brothers say "frick it" and leave them behind. this is the absolute worst case scenario and the reason you don't do that, if you're a friend. heartbreaking and life altering for so many innocent people.
Was she alone at Reggie’s without any buddies?
I’m sure her friends rightfully feel like shite.

What kind of piece of shite drops off a girl in the middle of nowhere that hammered?
Especially after sex.
This screams legitimate rape and conscious effort to get rid of the girl after the crime.
This is such a brutal story.

I feel like I remember having to show our LSU id’s circa 2007 timeframe in Tigerland. Don’t remember for sure though

Where were her friends? I find it funny that this young lady was in a Sorority and no one has spoken up yet. Did she go there alone? Were any of her friends there? Some friends..
Have you ever been in college before? They probably all got blackout and lost each other. A story as old as time but getting raped and hit by a car is not. Baton Rouge has turned into scum. Burn the whole city down

Reggie’s out
Murphys back in
How ironic

That poor girl.
I can't even imagine what she went through and what her family is going through.

That’s a strong statement. Good for him
I thought Tate would be a disaster but he’s been great so far. I think he also knows that LSU is about to see enrollment plummet if they can’t find a way to curb the student deaths and other major incidents.

Should be surprising because you're wrong. The one on the right is the 28 yr old.

All but one of the suspects involved in this horrific scenario were underage yet were able to consume alcohol at a local bar
It's the worst kept secret that Reggies sells to underage. When I was in school if you were old enough to drink you were too old to be at Reggie's

We can also blame their parents for not teaching them right from wrong, not to take advantage of drunk girls, what consent means, respect, common decency, morals, the value of human life...seems those things aren't being passed down anymore.
The frickers were predators, plain and simple. Saw a drunk pretty white girl and preyed like hyenas. Knew full well they had no chance if she wasnt drunk. That is why they dumped her. Not just that they knew they needed to separate from her for obvious reasons, but also bc they wanted to "devalue" her.

Can we please just recall Broom and her dipshit police chief?
I can’t stand either of these idiots but wtf does any of this have to do with them?
The fault lies with the individuals involved and the bar that allowed them to consume alcohol.
This tragic situation has nothing to do with lsu or Baton Rouge.
