Or the Sheriff Substation which was .6 miles away.
Or her sorority house where she had friends 7 miles away.
Or a hospital.
But she was a walking rape kid by then. They were done with her. Just dumped her off and left and then, when first interviewed by police, denied knowing her.

And the "investigative reporter" could include times and locations in his news' drops IF his intent was to enlighten the public on the case.
Guess it ain't his intent.

Is the Grand jury meeting again today ? Or did they finish and just didn’t let the public know ?

A typical grand jury is set up and reviews numerous cases over a period of time. Normally a grand jury would not be convened for one case.

If a grand jury decides no true bill, can the DA pursue anyway? And vice Versa?

Not for a juvenile. Everything requires indictment to charge as adult.
And can't pursue first degree rape against anyone without an indictment. Anything punishable by life or death.
Anything else DA can bill himself.

Question...how do you think this would go had she lived but been grievously injured, say she lost her legs and was confined to a wheelchair for life. Do you think the state would be going this hard to press charges (assuming that Madison wanted to move forward with rape charges)?

I see in the advocate article that Carter is being represented by the public defender office. The NAACP isn't footing the bill for his attorney. You think the NAACP are trying to distance themselves from this, especially after the other defendant they went to bat for, Kaivon Washington, ended up being charged with 2 additional rapes?

The grand jury gave additional charges of 1st degree rape along with 3rd degree rape and 2nd degree kidnapping. Not only did the grand jury decide to move forward, they gave updated charges. And I'm certain that they saw the videos that the defense said would exonerate the defendants.
It seems like the defense blew their wad and came up short. Also, being charged with 1st and 3rd degree rape gives the jury room to maneuver as they can still vote guilty on 3rd degree rape even if not guilty on 1st degree rape. You think this goes to trial or the defendants get cut a deal?

Someone should 'flip' with this development.

I wonder which defendant is next up for the grand jury?
Judge,
Why'd the start with the 17 y.o.?
Clip already 'outed' the defendant here, btw...

And perhaps they didn't video the rape?
Or this defendant didn't.
We get any update on the charges to the other defendants? Not seeing it.
Judge Holden,
Would there be separate 'grand jury sessions' for each defendant?
Casen might pick up the manslaughter because:
1. KIDNAPPING - puts the crime all the way until she got out of the car - 'seconds' (her family attorney said that) before she was killed.
2. Because this DA and grand jury are actually pursuing this case.
I'm curious how the video voyeurism will play out. Not this defendant but did anyone tape it?
The video defense lawyers released appears to have backfired bigtime.
