I read somewhere that the attorney for Ashley Baustert saw the video and he said that Madison can be heard saying "get off". In the lawsuit brought by her dad, the affidavit also mentions that video where she can be heard saying "get off"

Her dad is suing the bar, LYFT and the 4 defendants. While he may get money from LYFT and the bar, I doubt the 4 defendants can come up with $20 between the 4 of them.

If this is true, the defense had better get ready to start plea bargaining for the least amount of jail time for their clients.
And why would they be stupid enough to film such a thing? I mean, let's say she lives and decides to go to the police later on. Normally, it would be a he said/she said case. But with film evidence, the prosecution has a much stronger case. And deleting it from your phone doesn't work because deleted messages and videos can be recovered. Plus, deleting things makes you look more guilty.

Exactly. It would have been better for the defense if the accused and their lawyers just remained silent. The attorneys have said publicly, several times, that sex DID happen. And said so on video.
So how much time do you think they will get? I doubt that Kaivon will beat all 3 charges. And I got a feeling that Desmond isn't going to just be home free.
Noticed that he was charged with video voyeurism as well. I wonder if it's because the actual rape may have been caught on video by Kaivon?

I wonder what exactly do they know? It's a reason why the driver was charged with 1st and 3rd degree rape.

I wonder what they have on him. Those charges are alot tougher than I thought. Unless he did participate or did more than he said. I expected Kaivon to get those charges (and he will) but I never expected Carver to get these charges. Another poster said that they may be trying to play down the racial angle by putting tough charges on the only white guy involved.

They only mentioned charges with the 17 year old. But I think they had to hurry up and charge him because they had 30 days

Desmond and Kaivon are wishing they stayed home that Saturday night. Although, with Kaivon's pattern, sooner or later, even if he had never crossed paths with Madison, his luck would have eventually run out.
From the article it sounds like Karson Jones committed the assault against the male and not Kaivon.

Even if that did happen, none of them are going to admit to it. They'll likely take that to the grave with them.
As far as them "giving her an offer she couldn't refuse", I mean, it's plausible. She likely would have been no physical match for one of them, let alone 2 of them.
However, since she isn't around to say what happened in her own words, we might never know EXACTLY what happened unless some evidence to that effect is uncovered or one of the perps admit to it
