I think they will. Let the process work.
I have very little faith in our system lately.
I truly hope they get 10+ years (all 4) but I am having doubts as the physical evidence is really tough without a witness.

That being said, as mentioned, there may be trump cards to be played from both sides in the evidence that could change the case completely.
Agreed. We don't know what all is on video. It cuts both ways. Wasn't a video posted here of a reporter that supposedly saw some of the defense's video and explained that she asked the driver if he wanted to have sex? And when he refused she slapped him in the head and called him gay? I am hoping that was just want the defense told him (reporter) was on the video and not actually on the video.

Combining two things.
Reporter saw video from car that night and (I think I recall) said she was responding and in conversation.
Ron Haley, the attorney for Washington, said in an interview (paraphrasing) that she taunted Carver and called him gay for not wanting to have sex with him. I don’t think he said video would show that, but he may have.

There is no possible scenario you could envision where any of those guys might not be deserving of that amount of time or be innocent of the charges? Im thinking of the driver more than anyone else currently.
How long did the sexual acts took place? Just a few minutes vs 20 or 30. Was Madison acting in a sexually aggressive manner as well and how was she actually responding to what was going on. Was the driver indicating frustration during the entire event? Did he pull over with the intent of his buddies engaging in sex or to figure out where they where going. So many questions...
If you having ever driven around with severely intoxicated people in your vehicle it can be a disorientating event depending on how loud and obnoxious they are acting. For a young person that has had not experience in that situation I could see where he might not have known how to react.

The driver and the uncle seem the least culpable from what we know. We don’t know it all at this point.

Why are you hoping that is the case?

Well for one, he talked about the angle of penetration and how that angle would be in sexual assault vs rough sex

I really don't trust the defense and their claims of videos showing their clients innocence. Prosecutors don't proceed with charges if there's irrefutable evidence of the accused innocence

Ummmm...yes they do. All the time. DA's are probably more corrupt than defense attorneys. Its close, but not by much.

Like when? When was there clear evidence of innocence but the prosecutor wasted time with charges? And I don't mean someone wrongly convicted based on an honest mistake

Kyle Rittenhouse ring a bell?
I have personally seen this locally numerous times and nationally (from friends) a handful of times. DA's don't care about the truth, they only care about winning.

Not in my opinion. The two in the front seat were less copiable, but they didn't do anything to stop it. Both of them knew it was wrong. And the callous way they discarded her later shows that they had no remorse.

See I dont know where you guys are getting statements like this from and processing them as fact in your mind. She could have and its been stated by the defense I beleive that she made the decision to leave the vehicle after an argument with the driver. Either way we don't know wtf happened at that point either.

I get what you're saying and it's very possible that she just told them to let her get out. But their whole story of her calling an Uber makes no sense. It stands to reason that they knew she was heavily intoxicated and would not be safe in that area. Even if they just wanted her out of the vehicle, there are other places they could have left her.

They could have but if she vehimately wanted out of the vehicle would forcing her to stay against her will be problematic as well. They very well may have literally kicked her to the curb but we just don't know. We don't even know where exactly she left the vehicle do we?

I won’t go as far as Big Gorilla, but state prosecutors proceed when there is probable cause. They may move early if there is a lot of publicity or if they think they need to in order to flip a witness.

I don't think it's that clear cut. Are BAC levels measured at hospitals even admissible when there is no witness? Really need one of these monsters to crack.
The Uber driver is a witness.
How was it that she was so out of mind she was standing in front of an oncoming vehicle?

Right. But 5 or so minutes to drive her to a lighted area wouldn't have made that much difference.

Yes of course but we don't know where exactly she left the vehicle. If it was in front of a house in Pelican Lakes where its lit or not.

Supposedly they have video of her exiting the vehicle, so it hopefully will show where she got out.
