The HWRF and HMON for 92L put it right off mouth of river on Friday morning. Rds and Duke should have an analysis later this morning.

Will SELAs invisible hurricane shield hold up? Will Boat have to bust out the Stone Cold meme? Will PeeJ be wrong again? Who will hit hurricane thread bingo first?

Stay tuned to find out more!

Wed-Fri afternoons are looking perfect for fishing, of course this bitch would come screw it up.

On another note my plots in MS do need water bad.

Seems like all the models have it being steered more westerly on the track last night. Haven't looked at them today.

Not looking good for Louisiana or maybe it's good 7 days out depending on your perspective. Several intensity models had it as a Cat 2 at the peak. Of course, I wouldn't trust those right now considering how awful they've been at projections.

The last three times we went to the Rigolets there was a system in the Gulf. We still went out but it was pretty tough. The weather is perfect today and we’re on the way now but there’s officially a system in the Gulf today. It’s been an incredible string of bad luck and bad timing. There’s even a system in the Gulf today just to rib us a little but luckily it’s far enough away to have no impact.

Models will really struggle over the next few days as they try to resolve both systems. However, one general consensus does appear to be that eventually whatever is in the Gulf will track northward. This is what the HAFS is thinking:

What pulls it that far west? Is Gamma steering it that way? The intensity of Gamma would influence how far west it goes right?

92L absorbs Gamma (or vice versa)??

we gonna get the Fujiwara Effect (mark your bingo card square accordingly) in the Gulf we thought we were getting with Marco & Laura??
