Later when there is more information we will have an idea who will be fricked.

We’re about 4 days out. NHC misses by 50 nautical miles or less about 20% of the time this far out.
So 80% of the time, they’re at least 50mi off this far out. I guess it is good to be in the center of the cone right now.

Can y’all give a “I don’t know shite about weather, but willing to listen” level update about this one?
Not one of your requested contributors, but:
Delta will continue to move into an increasingly better environment over the next couple of days. Currently, it has all the signs of a storm that is getting its act together and intensifying rapidly. It will make it's way west/north westward before making a northern turn. Where it makes that turn is largely dependent upon positioning of a high pressure ridge building over the Southeast US. Delta's ceiling is pretty high with the chances of reaching Major substantial. The best hope for limiting its strength is the cooler waters just off the cost of LA/MS. Those cooler waters do not guarantee that Delta will fall apart or weaken significantly upon approach to landfall. It would not be unprecedented if it doesn't. Models have been surprisingly tightly clustered over the past 24-36 hours on potential track, and the NHC seems to have a good grasp on general steering patterns.

Not at all. And you don't have to even see a loop or any data. Just check reactions on Twitter.

I hate the nerdy cocksuckers in these threads who downvote every legit question just because it’s from someone that’s not a regular

There’s a clear difference between having a major hurricane at some point in the gulf and having a major hurricane at landfall. Anyone suggesting otherwise is idiotcasting.
