Bro, Marsh Island is the 4th largest island in the continental US.
I thought you were joking. But I just looked it up and it's 7th. I'm shocked.

Really? I had no idea. I’m not from this area.
I’ll have to read up on it.
I’ll have to read up on it.

I hate to be specific question asker, but assuming Delta passes west of BR as it looks (just a question of how far), a wind from the west would come on the back side and most likely not be a strong as the south or east wind we’d get before the eye passed us latitude wise? Right?
On paper, yes.
Strongest BR winds will likely be from the S to SE. By the time BR gets W winds it will be breezy, but sub 30-mph almost certainly.

Yeah you're probably right. The link I have just shows the largest islands in each state. I didn't take into account the fact that New York, Washington, and Michigan may have a #2 or #3 island that is still bigger than Marsh Island.
I was shocked too.

The nuclear option would be to cut the tree down tomorrow. No tree, no problem.

Yes. BR will see almost no wind out of the west.

I mean if you don’t include Alaska and Hawaii what other fricking islands are there really? Long?
It’s a short and indistinguishable list, just like my Johnson

I live in Jennings and have a blue roof from Laura, this BS is enough already! I’m hoping your eastern jog comes through.

This wind map is fricking me up.
When placed next to some of the ensembles at 60 hours right at the shoreline approximately it's at tropical storm winds maybe cat 1.
Everything else says cat 2. What am I missing? Looking too much at the shoreline and the eyewall and not projecting far enough from the eye and shoreline?
For instance look at the 48 hour mark and not the 60 hour mark as the winds are quite far from the eye.
Thanks

It's slowed to a crawl now that Delta is "only" a Cat 2.

I took down a 60 year old water oak twenty feet away from the house in July. Money well spent lol.

Some dude on Fb says he thinks it will intensify to at least a cat 3. Dude has been pretty one with all his stuff this whole season. Hope he’s wrong tho.
