Yeah it’s a good development for sure. That being said, the CDO seems to be growing again in the last few images and recon was going leaving a dropping pressure storm on the last pass.
Goes hand in hand with the thought from the NHC that peak intensity will be 24-30 hours or so from now.
People in SWLA are going to need a lot of faith in the NHC when a 3 or 4 is sitting due south of them Thursday evening.

Apparently 68 mph is the fastest flight level wind found but they are hyping it as a hurricane still. Why not state the truth?

They got an 81 kt flight level and 70 kt surface on the last pass.
