Although I read all of these threads, it always baffles me that people think they know the route when its still this far away. The models are cool, until something changes.

Have you guys not seen what happened to the last few storms that came this way? Little jog here, little shift there. IT seems to always happen.

It’s all relative. It’s going to move, but it’s not like Corpus or Destin should be worried at this point. It’s like 90% going to hit between Cameron and Grand Isle.

2mph from being a CAT 5

No. Cat 5 doesn’t start until 157mph. Delta is at 145mph.

Can a fricking expert please explain why this thing keeps shifting West? Will it only keep shifting West from here on out or can it go back East? Really starting to get fed up with this shite.

He’s referring to the 155mph forecasted in 12 hours.

You don't have to be a weather expert to say it CAN go back east. What a stupid comment.

Do fast moving hurricanes have more storm surge than the slower moving ones relative to their strength?

A slower moving cat 3 will have more storm surge than a fast moving cat 3 however the faster moving cat 3 have higher winds more inland and potentially more wind damage.

Cut-off low and/or trough out west isn't currently modeled to be as strong later in the week. This keeps the ridge to the east a bit stronger as a result. Where Delta finds that exit hatch is when the turn to the north will begin.
