He should have peed in the seat. Let them have to change out the seat before the next flight a couple of times and they may become a bit more accommodating.

I usually use the restroom before I get on a plane. But I'm also an adult, so there's that.

I was on southwest Wednesday and we had a 30 minute gate delay. They let people off the plane to get food. We had another 20 minute off gate delay and they let people use the restroom.

not only is that a smart, adult like thing to do, it is a wise safety consideration, in the event of some type of incident, say an aborted takeoff, the aircraft goes off of the pavement, and there is any sort of impact or sudden deceleration, the weight of a full bladder of piss becomes an internal projectile that could do considerable damage to your body

I can't remember which airline it was, and this was years ago, but I was once in a similar situation and the attendant told me they legally could not prevent me from using the restroom. Even during take off and landing.
