Port Authority police officers at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City reportedly had to intervene after a fight broke out on a Delta flight that was delayed around eight hours Thursday. One passenger, Juan Andres Ahmad, tweeted that the pilot had “no idea” where the ground crew was and while the passengers waited they weren’t given food or water, Fox 5 New York reported. "This has gotten out of control - there are people fighting each other and it’s gotten both verbal and physical,” Ahmad tweeted. “Police are on the plane! Complete chaos! I understand weather delays and we all want to be safe but this is not about weather but about how Delta has handled it."

What’s the most you would wait on a plane before you say screw it? Also interesting to see how passengers turned into animals within a matter of 8 hours.

I’d rather spend a night in jail than sit on the tarmac for 8 hrs. It’s not even close.

After two hours I’d want off the plane. I hate being confined on a plane especially if you’re not even moving

The problem is you can’t really say screw it. Unless you want to pop open an emergency exit but that doesn’t seem like it would end well.

This is why the biggest threat is losing power to a large area for some time. The inner cities will go animalistic

what option do you have once the door is closed...

I'm surprised they lasted 8 hours.

I would think it would turn into United 93 storming the cockpit after 4 hours.

While sitting on a tarmac for 8 hrs sounds like hell, I'd choose that over spending a night in jail. It's not even close.

Do you work in a job where you also have to stay stationary in an uncomfortable, hot building sitting next to an overweight stranger? If not, then that’s a stupid comparison.

Real jail isn't anything like the OTs version of jail. I would spend the night in jail before I sat on the runway with a tube full of demons for 8 hours.

Brilliant move there Ahmad.

Welcome to a lifetime of being in TSA’s “Assertive National Universal Search Record and Information Directory” (aka “ANUS RAID”) anytime you fly commercial.

IMHO, if they make you sit in the plane on the tarmac for more than four hours, they should allow you to masturbate whilst covering your privates with an issued Delta blanket.
