So was the landing gear fully deployed? Or did it collapse on landing?

looked normal prior to touchdown, hard to tell from that video but looked as it may have collapsed on touchdown, or they possibly drug a wheel off the runway, just guessing

So does it look like to you that it was not a flaps issue?
Because if it was a flaps issue, I was wondering if they did anything to cut weight.

honestly that isn't that big of a deal but in the video a few pages back the slats are definitely out and the flaps appear to be as well

in the first few frames it "appears" that the nose is up slightly and then when it continues to the right side it now appears level. could be camera angle though.

Seems like a jolly good time to slash FAA budget, eh?

A quick look at your post history suggests you’re either a bot or big mad. Keep the water flowing

To be fair, USAID was probably funding whatever the Canadian FAA is

Gotdamn that’s one hell of a pilot if he landed that sucker upside down

Microburst or wind shear? On short final it sinks like a rock and flips right.

The guys in video with this report are saying it landed too fast and forcefully (I guess at least in part to lack of flare) while also banking slightly to the right and possibly landing on right set of wheel first with all that force collapsing that wheel set almost immediately. With energy it had coming down and starting to roll a little from bank and broken wheel it had enough force to break the wing off while lifting other wing which also got regular lift to then completely flip plane over.
Something like that. I am too used to using subtitles when watching any British tv show to pick up every word said, but their accent makes them sound like they know what they are talking about…

This incident wasn’t a political issue until the Dems made it one by trying too hard to both save slush funds and not get exposed for where money was going. Duffy is not taking any of extended leave Pete’s BS. The guy allowed the FAA to not fill 3,000 positions to address shortages before leaving office, and even after the FAA’s system crashed he still didn’t get the system upgraded while not having an official FAA director for over a year. He was more interested in being a second stay at home dad than his job and also calling bridges racist. He shouldn’t have taken a position that required more time and effort than he was willing to give, but maybe having more free time is why he wants to run for the Senate now.

The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?

Secretary Sean Duffy

Mayor Pete failed for four years to address the air traffic controller shortage and upgrade our outdated, World War II-era air traffic control system. In less than four weeks, we have already begun the process and are engaging the smartest minds in the entire world.
Here’s the truth: the FAA alone has a staggering 45,000 employees. Less than 400 were let go, and they were all probationary, meaning they had been hired less than a year ago. Zero air traffic controllers and critical safety personnel were let go.
Mayor Pete chose to use this amazing department—that is so critical to America’s success—as a slush fund for the green new scam and environmental justice nonsense. Not to mention that over 90% of the workforce under his leadership were working from home - including him. The building was empty!
When we finally get a full accounting of his mismanagement, I look forward to hearing from him.
In the meantime, I will not rest until I return the Department of Transportation and its incredible employees to its mission of efficiency and safety.

And what does that have to do with Canadian Air Traffic Control?
