Well I don't go to a bar to drink alone. Do you?

I go with groups of friends, which is why what other people at that bar are doing means nothing to me. Sorry I'm not preoccupied with the fashion statements made by people twenty yards away from me when I'm enjoying a sazerac

The Vineyard, of course

They really have some interesting nights on the sign when I pass by it.

"Pajama Night"
"Country Latin Night"
Had something about Edwin Edwards on it yesterday.

I'm sorry but I've been to BBG a lot over the years and it can definitely be changed up for the better

Thanks for the lock and key responses.

I generally put The Patio, The French Connection, Cedarcrest Lounge and The Jefferson in the same category as far as dives. Places that have been around forever and have a very built in crowd. They don't try and build new clientele but if you stumble upon them you might fall in love with the very laid back atmosphere.

Their service blows hard too

I (unfortunately) live extremely close to it, and the other night my friend and I decided to walk over after drinking at the pool all day and then cooking.

It was 11pm-ish.

We walk in, and wait. And wait. And wait. Forever. There was 1 bartender, some older chick who looked like Bridget Jones.

She was helping two black chicks who were there with their BABY (like maybe 1 year old) in a stroller. They ordered food.

Well the kitchen guy wasn't inside. He was outside. Instead of telling the chicks that he'd be back in soon, she went walking around the place looking for him.

Told us she'd be right with us, went outside for like 10 minutes, came back in, helped other people at the bar, and went back to looking for the kitchen guy.

Chick has to be new to the industry or dumb as rocks because everyone knows you don't run around for half an hour for random black chicks with a baby in your bar at 11pm when you have a line of people ready to tip you for a drink.

I walked out.

I'm sure I'll be back because I can walk, but that was awful

It's been a few years now.

She just got manager at BD.

We have a couple others, but one has been gone from there forever. And the other is a barback. Actually he's not working anymore anyway.
