What kind of music do you like?

I love the music at Radio. Love that the place is clean and kept up. Love the craft cocktails that they rotate with the seasons. Love the beer selection and prices. Love that there's something for everyone.. table service, patio, games, music playback, posting up at the bar, etc.

Radio is not in my top 4, but it's in my regular rotation.

Exactly, I'm talking shite holes with grime. Lots of grime. Lascivious women, dirty old men, juke box with classic rock and country. The kind of joints where the records skips when you walk in. Which actually kind of happened at the R&R Backstreet Bar. Four words. Old. People. Country. Karaoke.

I'm guessing his perspective is he's always hounding for arse. It's not the best place for that, but as far as going to a place with a group of friends, it's near the top for me. I like to show how alpha I am at all the bar games since I'm so alpha awesome at them.

Some people go to bars to drink, and not obsess over the clientele. Radio bar has great beer and cocktails. That to me is more important than what other people are listening to or wearing.

I care about the crowd/music, but I like both there anyway.

Example: The Cove. Amazing drink selection, but I practically fall asleep every time I go.

The scene of a bar is what makes a good bar a great bar

Port Royal (College and Corporate)This is a pretty well known dive for people in the service industry.

Mrs. G's (Florida and Sharp). They have an oval bar and it's purple and gold inside.

Herson's (North Street and North Acadian). Think they have free food on Thursdays. The cool thing is regulars buy bottles of liquor there, so when they come in, the bartender just pours their drinks out of their labeled bottles.

Cedarcrest Lounge (Airline, past Bluebonnet). This place opens at 7 a.m. or so for the night shift crowd.

The Office (way out on Florida, near the Livingston Parish line). If we lived out that way, we would go to the bar pretty regularly. Your first time there, you get a token for a free drink. And they have potluck meals on Tuesdays.

I've never played a game there. Games aren't my thing in general anyway, but I imagine people there are sharks.

Oh.

IDK if this is considered dive, but I love Hound Dogs. Supposedly "gay", but it's no different than your normal dark dive with old people.

Everyone is mega friendly too. And the pool table is available a lot.

Last few times I haven't really played much. We usually play a couple games of shuffleboard and that's it. Mainly post up with a group in one of the booths and chill.

Definitely gay. Geared towards the Spanish Town residents, many of whom are gay.

Next time you go, look at the drawing of the dog on the front. It looks like a dick & balls.
