Deep thoughts on Time travel

How could someone go back in time and kill the person who invented the time machine if that person would have never invented the time machine because someone killed them before they invented the time machine?

I agree I think. Time travel is possible due to relativity but it always is forward in time, I don’t know how you go backwards.

It's called a paradox and if time travel is even remotely possible it'd be to an alternate reality which would prevent the problem
