Absolutely. And it sucked for me cause I had to work today. She had a blast.

I just added one more pic in my post.

This is her 3rd snow, (2nd being a couple of Fridays ago), her 1st snow was back in January of 2018 but she was 2 1/2 (she's 10 in June) and doesn't remember it. We've gone longer than normal between accumulating snows here in West Central Georgia (7 years until a couple of weeks ago when it's usually 3-4 years).

Hate to be a pest, but it appears you are in the Nola area. I have work down there and need to get down there. I’ll be hauling a 16’ trailer with a 4x4 250. I need to get an accurate picture of what travel is like down there. I have a feeling my contacts down there will sugar coat it to get me to try tomorrow. Is there any way you or someone could help me out with road conditions? TIA

I can’t help but maybe share an idea of where you’re coming from.

Safe travels.

I got you:

There are some stretches on heavily traveled routes that got completely cleared today.

About 20%

There are some stretches that got turned into a pile of slush. About 70%. That slush is going to freeze into thick thick ice tonight. And we don’t get above freezing tomorrow until the afternoon.

The other 10% of the roads are THICK ice sheets. Like inches thick.

I spent the last two days walking around the city all day. There are some patches of unmelted pure powder snow. Some thick wet snow good for snowballs and snowmen. That’s going to harden tonight.

I saw some pictures of the interstate that has patches of snow and ice all over it.

I personally wouldn’t want to be driving in from out of town unless absolutely necessary and with a good off road vehicle.

hold on to your arse!

You'll be able to make it if nobody else skiballs into you on the way. I'll be going from gonzales to opelousas tomorrow. Not leaving until the suns been up for a bit and still nervous as shite about it. Not about me, I got it. It's all the other idiots you have to worry about.

Thank you so much for the kind reply. I would be driving in from Shreveport. Basically bad roads from Bunkie to Nola it sounds like. I’m hauling a decent load too. I’m going to try like hell to postpone until Monday. Thanks again.

So there is already chatter about another big system coming through Louisiana around 2/6. Any of the weather experts here know anything about this?

I haven't seen anything.

They called this one just a couple of days after the first one that moved through here and the Carolinas.

F that. This is supposed to be once in a lifetime. Let’s colonize Jamaica or something.

That system will be the Gulf of America’s first hurricane. It shows TX/La border landfall as of now.
